No security threat vs Bongbong during Manila caravan, says spox

The camp of Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Monday, Feb. 21 â€‹denied a supposed security threat against the survey-leading presidential aspirant.

This, even rumors of such spread after his Manila caravan was cut short over the weekend.

Lawyer Vic Rodriguez, Marcos Jr.'s spokesman, said his caravan ended at 5:30 p.m. Sunday because that was what the schedule indicated.

Rodriguez's remarks were contrary to the claim of partymate and Manila mayoralty aspirant Alex Lopez who reportedly said that the motorcade was cut short over a "security concern".

"No, it was scheduled to end at 5 p.m. As to the security concern, it is always a concern not just of presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos but for all others aspiring for president as well as," Rodriguez told reporters in mixed English and Filipino.

Rodriguez also said their "commitment with our local candidates there" was to finish the caravan by 5 p.m., but upon the request of Marcos Jr., it was extended up until 5:30 p.m.
