In an announcement, MLD Entertainment, Momoland’s agency, said, “Momoland members Hyebin and Nancy, who are currently promoting in Mexico, have tested positive for COVID-19.”

It said Nancy and Hyebin are fully vaccinated. They were diagnosed with COVID-19 through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests.

As a result, the schedule of Momoland in Mexico has been temporarily suspended while the agency will focus on the treatment and recovery of the two K-pop idols.

Before leaving for Mexico, Momoland’s JooE tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 1 and recovered and released from isolation on Feb. 10.

NMIXX

Meanwhile, upcoming girl group NMIXX’s member Kyujin has been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Feb. 20, according to agency JYP Entertainment.

Kyujin is the second member of NMIXX to test positive for COVID-19 after Bae on Feb. 17.

The agency said Kyujin, who is fully vaccinated, has a mild fever and sore throat and is in self-isolation.

After Bae tested positive, JYP Entertainment said NMIXX’s debut showcase set on Feb. 22 has been moved to March 2. Their debut single “Ad Mare” will be released on Feb. 22.

DKB

In addition, three more members of boy band DKB have been diagnosed with COVID-19 to bring to four the total who got the virus.

Brave Entertainment announced that DKB members Teo, Junseo and Yuku tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 20.

The three got their booster shots. On Feb. 19, member Harry June became the first member of DKB to test positive, prompting other remembers to undergo PCR tests.

The other members who took the PCR tests were negative but the agency said that “considering the incubation period, we will continue to conduct self-test kits and PCR tests to do our best to prevent further spread of COVID-19.”

On Feb. 20, Cravity member Woobin tested positive for COVID-19. The other eight members of Cravity earlier tested positive.

At least 135 Korean stars, mostly K-pop idols, have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since Jan. 19.
