Presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said he has not spent the P50 million in excess campaign funds stemming from his failed 2016 senatorial bid.
I kept the money and has not spent it. I live a very simple life. I do not have a mansion),” said Domagoso during DZBB’s “Ikaw Na Ba” presidential interview on Wednesday, Feb. 2.

In a recent interview with broadcast journalist Jessica Soho, it was revealed that Domagoso’s Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) increased from P7,541,785.44 in 2007 to P55,629,848 in 2017.
Out of P171 million in campaign donations from his failed Senate bid in 2016, about P50 million in excess funds were then declared as Domagoso’s income in his 2017 SALN.
There was an excess fund so I asked the government what to do with it. They said I had to pay taxes. So I did that as a citizen. Paying taxes should not just be enforced on ordinary employees but also on big politicians and the rich,)" said Domagoso during the DZBB interview.
