Get lucky in life and love at Okada Manila

Published Feb 2, 2022 10:00 am

Romance and prosperity come together for a story-filled February at Asia’s grand icon

February is twice as fun and lucky in the Forbes five-star and Sharecare VERIFIEDⓇ integrated resort Okada Manila as it celebrates Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day. There are plenty of treats, promos, and surprises in store for guests of all ages.

Chinese New Year is always special in Okada Manila. To give guests an extra boost of luck for 2022, Okada Manila has special CNY promos and activities they can enjoy in the integrated resort.

Guests are invited to welcome the Year of the Tiger with the Good Fortune set menu. This veritable feast of the best of Chef Mikiya’s Imagawa’s finely crafted Chinese dishes could be a taste of the prosperous year to come.

Foodies rejoice! The fiery Red Spice Chinese restaurant is back on Okada Manila’s roster of restaurants this year. Chef Chung Wai Lau and his team bring to fore regional Chinese cuisines and traditional Cantonese cuisines from Hong Kong. Make sure to try out the roast duck cooked in a custom-made oven. It's a gustatory experience that will keep you coming back for more.

And what’s CNY without Ang Pao? You can pick your Lucky Ang Pao and get a chance to win special Okada Manila prizes at the Gift Boutique for a minimum purchase of P3,000.

Well wishing festival

Make a Wish and See it Come True

Take a trip to Okada Manila’s very own Wishing Tree in the Coral Wing Foyer and start your auspicious and prosperous 2022 with a wish. The tree is open to receive wishes everyday until February 20, 2022.

The Wishing Tree is inspired by the Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees in the Tin Hau Temple in Hong Kong where people toss their wishes up to the banyan tree to hang them in its branches every Lunar New Year.

Guests are invited to experience the Chinese New Year activities and decorations around the resort. All they have to do is take a photo of themselves with the CNY decorations, post it on their social media with the hashtag #OkadaWishingTree2022 and show their posts to the staff at the promotion counter. Once verified, they will be given a Wishing Card. Only up to 100 wishing cards a day will be given during weekdays, and 200 wishing cards a day on the weekends.

Guests who had made their wishes at the Wishing Tree during last year’s Chinese New Year celebrations can share the stories of how their wishes came true. All they have to do is share their wish-come-true stories on their Facebook with the hashtag #OkadaWishingTree2022, and show it to the staff at the promotion counter. Once verified, they will be given a surprise gift from Okada Manila.

Stay in Love

Okada Manila loves Valentine’s Day. So of course, it has pulled out all the stops to make it special for couples and families. Les Fleurs, of course, has a special Valentines promo for their premium floral bouquets. Okada Manila’s retail shops have a special Valentine’s Day sale, particularly for jewelry for that extra-special gift for your significant other. Medley Buffet has prepared a romantic Valentine’s Dinner for one night only, complete with special drinks and live music.

For the complete romantic and relaxing Valentine’s Day escape, guests can enjoy the special package for couples, which includes overnight accommodation at one of the hotel’s luxury suites, complimentary breakfast, gift certificates to enjoy the restaurants, a couple’s treatment at The Retreat spa, and a bouquet of flowers from Les Fleurs to complete the Valentine’s Day experience.

Okada Manila has everything to celebrate all that is special for the Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day this February, and the year’s just getting started!
