The Pasay City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported that only 18 barangays out of 201 have active cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said that based on a CESU report, from the total of 21 active cases, the city recorded 10 new cases which is about 0.07 percent.
Rubiano said the city has nine new recoveries from COVID-19. Recoveries in the city have reached 97.90 percent.
Out of the 18 barangays with active cases, Barangay 201 has three cases, Barangay 32 has two, while one has a single case.
The mayor said the city government's “Vacc to the Future” program has already deployed a total of 714,343 vaccine doses.
Rubiano said the highest number of those who were vaccinated belong to the A4 category (economic group) with 115,118 getting their first dose, 115098 who are fully vaccinated, and 26,121 who received booster shots.
She said the second with highest number vaccinated by the city government was the A3 category (senior citizens) with 7,386 getting their first dose, 71,974 their second dose, and 17,651 their booster shots.
The mayor is calling on the residents to get vaccinated including their children coming from the age groups 5 to 11 and 12 to 17 for their protection.
Rubiano said the city government is already accepting walk-ins at the SM MOA Activity Center for children aged 5 to 11 years old and for those receiving booster shots for the adult population at SM MOA Giga vaccination site and Double Dragon Plaza.,
