Bianca Umali earns flak over online 'art contest'

Bianca Umali recently asked fans to create a banner art for her YouTube channel.

She made clear it is a contest, vowing to announce the winner on her next vlog.

She didn’t give details, though.

Including the prize.

And there’s the rub.

Now, many believe the actress-singer is taking advantage of talented individuals by not offering anything in return for their efforts.

Some of the comments:

“An art contest without a prize is not a contest.”

“Exposure doesn't pay bills.”

“Ano kapalit?”

“This is really kacheapan.”

Bianca is yet to issue a statement.

Note that prior, actor Jameson Blake was also bashed asking fans to make a cover photo for him in exchange for a “shoutout.”

He was quick to apologize following backlash.
