Puerto Rican makes history as first Victoria's Secret model with Down Syndrome

A Latina beauty is going places.
Sofía Jirau, a 24-year-old from Puerto Rico, became the first-ever Victoria's Secret model with Down syndrome.
She recently joined 17 other women in launching the brand's new campaign.
Sofía celebrated the milestone via Instagram.
She wrote in Spanish: "One day I dreamed of it, I worked on it and today it is a dream come true. I can finally tell you my big secret. I am the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down syndrome!"

Note that Sofía has been modeling since 2019 in her native country.
She made her debut at New York Fashion Week a year later.
Sofía has since launched a campaign called "No Limits" highlighting the capacity of people with Down syndrome to achieve their goals.
