After viral 'Let Leni' tweet, Cher pleads: 'Cut me some slack'

It seems like American music icon Cher received her fair share of bashers after showing "support" to Vice President Leni Robredo.



Note that following her viral tweet, the "Goddess of Pop" reiterated that she doesn't know everything.



"I DONT KNOW EVERYTHING, EVERYONE, CUT ME SOME SLACK ... I WORK HOURS EVERYDAY. SOMETIMES TALKING TO SEVERAL CONTINENTS AT ONCE TRYING TO HELP, MAKE CHANGES.(sunglasses emoji) BYE," she wrote.



Many Filipinos commented on her post, some apologizing on behalf of the Filipinos.



"@cher if ever you are receiving hate comments or DMs from our co-Filipinos who support her opponent, I do apologize on behalf of them. They're completely out of their heads that they attack whoever supports @lenirobredo," one wrote.



"Don't mind the bashers, queen! We're fighting an entire troll army in our country and get bashed on a daily basis. Keep on fighting for what is good and true, at your own pace. Yes, we BELIEVE! (heart emoji) From the Philippines. (heart emoji)," another added.



Recently Cher asked her 3.9 million Twitter followers who Leni was after an online user reposted her tweet: "IF YOU WANT IT DONE RIGHT....LET A WOMAN DO IT (lipstick, flexed biceps, graduation cap, crown, dancer, and high-heeled shoes emoji)."


The netizen claimed: "Cher really said #LetLeniLead," which led her to tweet: "Excuse Don't Know Leni."



But another user reacted to her post, informing her: "Leni Robredo is the current Vice President of the Philippines and soon to be our President! (growing heart emoji)."



So Cher, an advocate, replied: "BRAVO!! LET WOMEN DO IT!! LET LENI,& ALL WOMEN FIGHTING 2 SAVE CLIMATE, CHILDREN, ELDERLY, POOR, HOMELESS, SICK, PPL OF ALL COLORS, ETHNICITIES, LGBTQ.
