Former Miss World Philippines Michelle Dee prepped for the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 qualifying round with a fresh haircut.

Goodbye, long hair!

"It’s now or never. Hey Universe, my application video is now live on KUMU (@ michellemdee) please check it out if you can," wrote Michelle on Instagram Feb. 16.

Among those who gave Michelle a thumbs-up for her new look include Pia Wurtzbach, David Licauco, Kylie Verzosa, Max Collins, Katarina Rodriguez, Samantha Bernardo, Mafae Yunon Belasco, etc.

Michelle debuted her shorter hair during the press conference for the "Agimat ng Aguila Book 2" last Monday.

The daughter of former Miss International Melanie Marquez joins other beauty queens former Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo, former Bb. Pilipinas Universe MJ Lastimosa in the action-packed Kapuso series.

"A day after my last taping day for 'I Left My Heart In Sorsogon,' I decided to have a new haircut. I really wanted to have a new look. When I was told na shorter ang hair ko, nag-isip muna ako. Baka hindi bagay. I could carry it naman pala," Michelle said.

Members of the press who attended the mediacon for Bong's latest serye didn't recognize Michelle immediately until she was introduced.

During the mediacon, Michelle said she's not in a relationship these days. "Wala akong date ngayong Valentine's Day."

Michelle, 28, represented the Philippines at the Miss World 2019 competition held in London. She placed in the semis.

The grand coronation of the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Competition will be held sometime in April.
