47 'Dagdag Puhunan Livelihood' beneficiaries receive cash, grocery items
A total of 47 beneficiaries of “Dagdag Puhunan Livelihood Project” of the Pasay City government received cash and grocery items to help them start their chosen businesses.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said of the 47 beneficiaries from Districts 1 and 2, 34 chose to buy grocery items worth P3,000 for their sari-sari (variety) store business while 13 chose cash to set up their own business ventures.
Rubiano said the “Dagdag Puhunan Livelihood Project” is a joint project of her office and Rep. Antonino Calixto.
On Dec. 23 last year, the mayor accompanied 89 beneficiaries to a grocery store to choose the grocery items they wanted to sell in their sari-sari (variety) stores.
The mayor said the city government will continue to help residents to earn, especially those who were badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rubiano said those who chose cash may start their barbecue or bananacue business right in their own homes.
