Mayor Zamora weds 4 couples in San Juan City Jail

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora officiated the civil wedding of Persons Deprived with Liberty (PDLs) at the city jail on Monday, Feb. 14.

Zamora solemnized the marriage of four couples which include three male inmates and their respective partners, and a PDL couple.

The said program is called “Kasalan sa Kulungan” initiated by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) San Juan.

“I am happy for the couples whose weddings I will officiate today just in time for Valentine’s Day celebration and wish them a lifetime of happiness. This kind of celebration only goes to show, however cliché it may sound, that love really moves in mysterious ways,” Mayor Zamora said.
