Dasmariñas mayor, a nurse, administers vaccine jabs to kids 5-11

DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – The city government here officially rolled out its pediatric vaccination for children aged five to 11 in three malls and selected hospitals and clinics on Monday (Feb. 14).

Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga, a nurse by profession, administered jabs at the vaccination sites in SM City Dasmariñas and Vista Mall Dasmariñas.

In a Facebook post, Barzaga thanked the malls for working hand-in-hand with the local government unit (LGU) for the vaccination drive.

The mall vaccination sites, which also included Robinsons Dasmariñas, featured kiddie party themes to entertain the children while waiting in line and to encourage them to bravely take the vaccine.

On Feb. 12, the LGU launched the pediatric vaccination for children aged five to 11 years at Ugnayang La Salle in De La Salle University-Dasmariñas.
