New trailer of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ presents another side of Scarlet Witch

Super Bowl is not only known for its stellar half-time shows but also for its series of ads, campaigns, and trailer releases. Among those that snag an onscreen spot is Marvel Studios as it presents a new trailer for the upcoming “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” Apart from the past depictions of his exploration of the multiverse, the teaser shows a different side of Scarlet Witch, a.k.a Wanda Maximoff portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen.

Toward the end of the trailer, Scarlet Witch and Dr. Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, has an encounter where the heroine tells the sorcerer supreme, “You break the rules and become the hero. I do it and I become the enemy. That doesn't seem fair.”

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” follows the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” and presents Dr. Stephen Strange and his research on the Time Stone. This brings an “old friend-turned-enemy puts an end to his plans and causes Strange to unleash unspeakable evil,” as per the leaked synopsis from Production Weekly.

Directed by Sam Raimi, the movie brings back previous “Doctor Strange” stars like Benedict Wong (Wong), Rachel McAdams (Dr. Christine Palmer), and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Karl Mordo). Last January, the film’s “unconfirmed” cast was leaked online.

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is set to hit the theaters internationally on May 6.
