Presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso is not bothered at all by the endorsements being received by his rivals and said the most important endorsement of all comes from the Filipino people.

“Ang pinakamahalagang endorsement na gusto kong makuha ay si ordinaryong Juan dela Cruz, si Petra, si Maria, yung mga tao sa kalsada, yung mga tao sa bahay, yung mga taong tunay na sasali upang iluklok ang kanilang pangulo (The most important endorsement that I want to receive is from the ordinary Juan dela Cruz, from Petra, from Maria, the people on the streets, in their homes, the people who will truly elect their president),” Domagoso said.

The Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer was asked for his reaction to Catholic charismatic group El Shaddai endorsing former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

“So yun ang gusto kong endorsement, endorsement ng taong bayan. I am not bothered, basta ang importante, andiyan ang taong bayan, nandiyan yung silent majority, nararamdaman namin sila, masaya na po kami (So that’s the endorsement I want, the endorsement of the people. I am not bothered, the people are there, we feel the silent majority, and we are happy about that),” he added.

Isko said that he remains unfazed because of the warm welcome and overwhelming support he and his fellow Aksyon Demokratiko candidates have been receiving from the ordinary people.

“Nakita niyo naman, ipinagpapasalamat ko, yung taongbayan mismo ang gumagastos pag nagmo-motorcade kami. Binibigyan kami ng pagkain, tubig, rosary, mga religious items, bulaklak, gumagastos talaga sila. So, very heartwarming (We are grateful that the people support our motorcade. They are giving us food, water, rosary, and other religious items, flowers, they are all paying for these. So, this is very heartwarming for me),” Domagoso said.

The Manila mayor also said he will leave it to the people to decide who to vote for.

“Basta ako magtutuloy-tuloy tayo, walang susuko, tuloy ang laban, at tayo’y maghahanap ng mga tunay na solusyon at mabilis na aksyon na siyang papakinabangan ng tao (I will continue with my candidacy, I will not give up, the fight will go on, and we will look for real solutions and fast actions that will benefit the public),” he said.

Domagoso vowed to address the problems of poverty, hunger, unemployment, inequality, and social injustice in the country should he get elected as president. These are the main pillars of his 10-Point Bilis Kilos Economic Agenda.(Terence L. Ranis)
