Mayor Isko clear winner in recent candidate interviews, forums – Aksyon Demokratiko chair
Aksyon Demokratiko Chairman Ernest Ramel said that their internal surveys showed that presidential candidate Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso was the "clear winner" in the Jan. 22 and 27 interviews with Jessica Soho and Boy Abunda, and the Feb. 4 Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) forum.
He said that their team was not questioning the survey results of Pulse Asia, but they would like to point out that the field work for the latest "Pulso ng Bayan" survey was conducted from Jan. 19 to 24.
Ramel also said that the results of Team Isko's internal surveys are reflective of the findings of Tangere, an award-winning technology and innovation-driven market research and opinion poll company.
Based on Tangere’s findings, there was a downward trend for the current front-runner Ferdinand Marcos Jr., barely changed numbers for the former runner-up Vice President Leni Robredo, who was overtaken by the consistently improving numbers of the former third placer Domagoso. This was the summary of the net effect on voter preferences of the performances and non-appearance of the candidates during the recent media-sponsored presidential candidate forums and interviews.
Tangere CEO and founder Martin Peñaflor said that based on the results of their latest survey conducted last Feb. 4 to 5, Marcos Jr. still remains to be the top preferred presidential candidate for the May 2022 polls despite his steadily declining numbers, now at 54%, compared to almost 58% based on the Jan. 18 survey results and around 60% from the Jan. 2 survey run.
Survey results also showed that one of three BBM supporters felt “disappointed” by BBM’s no-show at the recent KBP-sponsored event."
Robredo has been dislodged to 3rd place -- despite her score remaining in the 15% ballpark in the past three survey runs -- by Domagoso, whose numbers have been steadily rising from 16.29 % last Jan. 3, 16.75% last Jan. 18, to 22.17% during the most recent survey, moving him up to 2nd place.
Meanwhile, Marcos Jr. and Domagoso are ranked 1 and 2, with 43% and 39% preferring them, respectively, as the best performing candidates, during the one-on-one presidential candidate interviews with Boy Abunda.(Terence Ranis)
