The Council of Coordinators of the Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon Community said it is strongly supporting the candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo for President.

In a statement, the group said, based on their collective discernment "she is the best candidate for President."
"It is our collective sense that her positions on issues, many of which we hold in Ligaya, reflects her Christian values," it said.
The group cited Robredo's strong position against death penalty, her opposition to extrajudicial killings, her advocacy for the marginalized and the vulnerable among others.
"As Vice President, she has demonstrated a visionary and servant leadership, and complemented this with a professional and untiring work ethic that has enabled her office to serve well despite budgetary limitations and political restraints. She has shown integrity and moral fortitude that are integral to good governance," it said.
The group added that her campaign for President emphasizes a radical love that exhorts charitable speech, inclusiveness and acceptance, building relationships, and empowerment of others-all of which are values Ligaya share.
The group, however, said that they understand that their position may not be shared by everyone.
"We will support further discussions and are open to dialogue with those who may have different electoral choices. We encourage all of us to continue to be guided by our conscience and inspired by the Holy Spirit," it said.
The statement of the group was shared by Armin Luistro in his Facebook page.
The Sangguniang Laiko ng Pilipinas (LAIKO) also expressed their support for Robredo.
"With our current political-economic turmoil and the pandemic situation in the Philippines, we firmly believe that Vice President Leni Robredo, a God-fearing person, is the most capable candidate for the Presidency, and we urge our constituents, if possible, to consider the same," said LAIKO President Raymond Dakiel Cruz Jr. in a statement.
"Hence, we explicitly endorse Vice President Leni Robredo to the highest position of our land," he added.
Cruz said though there are still other issues, which need further dialogue and cooperation, they are of the opinion that Robredo, based on her track record of service, dedication to good governance, ability to implement partnerships and programs for the advancement of the people, especially the marginalized and her unassailable integrity, bested the others.
