Government anti-narcotics operatives arrested on Sunday, Feb. 13, four alleged drug pushers and seized some P10,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Tacloban City.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 8 identified the suspects as Vic Abolencia alias Bornok, 28; Narciso Malabarbas, 36; Antonio Lace, 36 and Jonjon Bernal, 18. They were collared in Barangay Lower Nulatula, Barangay 74 at 4:15 p.m. during the drug bust.
Abolencia was tagged as the drug den maintainer while the three others were collared while visiting the place.
The PDEA 8 and Tacloban City Police Station 2 operatives confiscated one small elongated plastic sachet, seven pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing more or less 15 grams of suspected shabu, one P500 buy-bust money with serial number S505669, assorted drug paraphernalia, open plastic sachets with traces of suspected shabu, one cellular phone and P1,110 cash in different denominations.
Abolencia and his cohorts face charges for violation of Sections 5,6,7,11, 12 and 15, Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’ (Chito A. Chavez)
