359 indigents receive financial assistance from PCUP

More than 300 indigents have benefitted from the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor’s (PCUP) cash assistance program, the Commission disclosed.

A total of 359 families have received cash assistance amounting to P18,000, said PCUP in a Facebook post. According to the Commission, the initiative was part of the Commission’s “OPLAN Likas Program” which aims to provide an interim “shelter fund” to the urban poor.

“Sa ngayon ay nasa 359 pamilyang nakatira sa South Morning View na mga dating informal settler families (ISFs) sa Las Piñas City ang nakatanggap na ng financial assistance (So far, 359 families living in South Morning View who are former informal settler families (ISFs) in Las Piñas City have received financial assistance),” said PCUP on Saturday, Feb. 12.

The Commission vowed to continuously process the said program to expedite the provision of financial assistance to the beneficiaries.
