Naos Esports stays perfect with sweep of South Built Esports in VCT PH

Naos Esports kept its winning run going with another sweep, this time against South Built Esports in Group B action of the VCT 2022 Challengers PH on Sunday, Feb. 13.

Naos also extended its map win streak to six after its dominant two-game stretch against South Built which remained winless through the first round of the double round-robin group stage.

Blas on the Killjoy dictated the tempo in the opening map in Haven with his 27 kills. The first half was a tight contest with both squads trading rounds, although Naos gained some headway, 7-5, at the half.

With Blas and Blurred leading the attack, Naos created the separation in the second half as it took six rounds against SBE’s two. Naos scored the first point of the series, 13-7.

After being down 4-2 in the onset of the first half in the second map in Breeze, Naos stringed some rounds together to take the driver seat, 7-5, at the half. Naos, just like in the first game, pulled away after the switch as it secured the last four rounds to complete the two-game sweep, 13-9.

Z on the Reyna wreaked havoc for Naos as he scored a whopping 27 kills.

Meanwhile, in an earlier game, Oasis Gaming did exactly the same to Bren Esports to score its second win in the tournament.

Oasis rode its strong start in the first map in Haven where it raced to a 9-3 lead at the half. Bren showed some resolve in the second half but Oasis only needed four rounds to close out the map, 13-8.

It was the same story in its own map pick in Ascent as Oasis used a dominant second half to score the series clincher. It was a tight first half with Oasis getting a slight, 7-5 advantage at the half. Oasis then used a perfect 6-0 run in the second half to take the 13-5 Game 2 victory.
