“Hindi niya naranasan ang pagiging manggagawa (She doesn’t know what it's like to work).”
Labor leader and Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM) presidential candidate Leodegario “Ka Leody” De Guzman has responded to the controversial “Pagod Len-Len” video featuring Senator Imee Marcos allegedly mocking the working class who work up to 18 hours a day.

“Sinabi ni Imee na ‘lying’ or ‘stupid’ daw yun nagsasabing nagtatrabaho sila ng 18 oras kada araw (Imee said that workers who have to work up to 18 hours a day are ‘lying’ or ‘stupid’,) the labor leader said.
“Dahil sa kababaan ng sweldo, hindi lang nag-oobertaym kundi may sideline pa ang marami sa ating mga kamanggagawa (Workers have to take overtime and also need sidelines because of low wages),” explained De Guzman in a Facebook post made on Saturday, Feb. 12.
De Guzman, who is a proponent of shortening the work day, further expounded that laws pertaining to regular work hours should be reformed so that companies that operate for 24 hours can modify their work hours from three eight hour-shifts to four six hour-shifts without reducing workers’ salaries
“Sa pag-unlad ng teknolohiya, dapat nadadagdagan ang oras na kontrolado ng tao ang kanyang buhay. Hindi tayo karugtong ng makina o mga simpleng kasangkapan sa operasyon ng kompanya (As technology advances, people should be in control of more of their own personal time. We aren’t machines or tools to be used by the company),” he concluded.
The video in question titled “Kape Chronicles, Len-len and Life” was posted on the Senator Imee R. Marcos Facebook page last Thursday, Feb. 10. It features Sen. Marcos and was directed by Darryl Yap.
At the end of the video, it cites an editorial piece titled “Anyone Who Claims to Work 18 Hours a Day Is Either Lying or Stupid.”
