Boom Esports earned a shot at redemption against T1 in the SEA DPC Grand Finals following its 2-1 victory over Team SMG in the lower bracket finals on Sunday, Feb. 13.

Sent to the lower bracket after a 2-1 loss against T1 in the upper bracket finals, Boom vented its ire on Team SMG to set up a rematch against its rivals in the Finals.
Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer starred in the three-game thriller, putting up an impressive 15-5-14 line on the Void Spirit and 19-3-16 KDA on the Ember Spirit in the two games which Boom won.
Boom scored the first point of the series after it dominated Team SMG, 44-24. Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong provided support to Yopaj with a 15-2-16 line on the Medusa while Timothy “Tims” Randrup contributed a 3-7-27 line.
Team SMG returned the favor in the second game as Kam "Moon" Boon Seng and Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng joined hands to force a deciding Game 3. Moon wreaked havoc on his Ember Spirit, finishing with a 17-5-15 line while MidOne added a 9-7-9 tally.
Filipino player Ryan "Raging Potato" Jay Qui orchestrated the attack using his Tidehunter and collected a 3-3-17 KDA.
Boom, however, proved to be the better team in the match as it utterly dominated their Malaysian counterparts, 44-17, in the winner-take-all.
Yopaj on the Ember Spirit dictated the tempo right off the gates as Boom seize control of the match from start to finish.
