Residents of Navotas and Malabon cheered and expressed their full support for Manila Mayor and presidential aspirant Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso as the “Team Isko” motorcade went around the two cities in the northern part of Metro Manila on Friday, Feb. 11.
From 2 p.m. until late evening before 9 p.m., tens of thousands residents warmly greeted Domagoso, giving him various food packets, water, soft drinks, flowers, and even religious items.
Some of them waved handmade placards with one even saying “Mayor Isko panalo ka na, huwag ka lang dadayain (You already won unless you would be cheated.”
Domagoso and his running mate Doctor Willie Ong and their senatorial bets Doctor Carl Balita, Samira Gutoc, and Jopet Sison were also very happy and grateful to the people of Navotas and Malabon.
After the motorcade, Domagoso immediately posted his gratitude to the people on his official Facebook.
“Lubos ang aking kasiyahan sa inyong mainit na pagtanggap sa aming grupo. Nakakawala ng pagod ang inyong mga ngiti, hiyawan, pagkaway, at flying kiss (I am very happy for your warm welcome to our group. Your smiles, cheers, waving of hands and flying kisses relieved us),” he said.
Domagoso said the overwhelming support he is receiving from the people inspires him to sustain his resolve to act fast in addressing the problems facing the country should he win the presidency.
If elected President, the 47-year-old Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer said that he will address the problems of poverty, hunger, unemployment, inequality and social injustice in the country by providing the basic needs of the people through the efficient and careful management of government resources.
