Robredo's presidential bid endorsed by Laguna Rep. Aragones
Laguna 3rd District Rep. Sol Aragones, who is seeking the gubernatorial post in the province, has backed Vice president Leni Robredo's bid for the presidency.

During Robredo's visit in Laguna on Friday, Feb. 10, Aragones expressed her support to the presidential candidate whom she had worked with during the 16th Congress.
"16th Congress, magkasama po kami, sabay kaming nagsimulang pumasok sa politika. Nakita ko po ang puso niya. Kung anong hong nakikita ninyo sa kanya at lumalabas sa kanyang bibig, ‘yun po ay galing sa puso niya (We were together in the 16th Congress, we enter the politics together. I saw her heart. Whatever you saw and heard from her, that is all from her heart)," Aragones said.
"Ang kasimplehan ng pagkatao niya, ‘yun ay dahil sa kaibuturan ng puso niya ay talagang napakabuting tao ni VP Leni Robredo (She is very simple and deep in her heart, VP Leni is a really good person)," she added.
The former broadcast journalist also shared her memories while working with Robredo who was then a representative of the Camarines Sur 3rd District. Aragones said they were known as two of the "Powerpuff Girls of the Congress."
"Saan mang larangang mapunta ka, ano man ang kahinatnan at itinadhana para sa iyo, gusto kong malaman mo na ang Powerpuff Girls ng 16th Congress, nandito’t nagmamahal para sa iyo (Wherever you go, whatever the outcome, I want you to know that the Powerpuff Girls of the 16th Congress are here and will always love you)," she added.
Laguna is the fourth most vote-rich province with over 2 million registered voters for the May 2022 polls according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
