Fair weather condition to prevail in most parts of Luzon – PAGASA

A warm and fair weather condition is likely to prevail in most parts of Luzon over the next 24 hours due to the northeast monsoon, locally called “amihan,” said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Feb. 12.

“‘Yung northeast monsoon ay patuloy na umiiral dito sa bahagi ng Luzon kaya’t makakaranas pa rin tayo ng fair weather condition. ‘Yung mga pag-ulan na mararanasan natin ay isolated light rains lamang (The northeast monsoon continues to affect a large part of Luzon, that is why we will still experience a fair weather condition. The rains we will experience are only isolated rains),” said PAGASA weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin in a public weather forecast.

Bulquerin likewise stated that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail in Visayas, Bicol Region, and the provinces of Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon due to the shear line or tail-end of frontal system.

Residents of the areas affected by the shear line were advised to remain vigilant against possible flash floods and landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the State weather bureau added that the easterlies and localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in Mindanao.
