Oasis Gaming pulled off the biggest upset so far in the first two days of the VCT 2022 Challengers PH when it took down tournament favorites Team Secret, 2-0, in their group stage match on Friday, Feb. 11

Not even a 13-7 drubbing at the hands of the Valorant Champions 2021 PH representatives could break the spirits of Oasis Gaming which started off it campaign on the wrong foot with an earlier loss to Action PH.
Oasis Gaming showed guts in the Maps 2 and 3 to complete the reverse sweep and give Team Secret a forgettable start to its VCT campaign.
Invy on the Breach starred in the second map win with a game-high 30 kills as OAS beat Team Secret, 13-9, in Haven – a map that is known to be one of Team Secret’s comfort maps.
After TS took the first two rounds, OAS came alive to claim the next five. The squad kept its hold of the lead at the half, 7-5. OAS continued to roll in the second half as it built a comfortable 11-6 lead.
TS tried to battle back with three straight rounds behind the efforts of Borkum who had 18 kills. That didn’t bother Oasis though as it secured the last two rounds to force a deciding Game 3.

Oasis carried the momentum in final map in Icebox where it totally shut down TS, 13-7.
The underdogs came out guns blazing with an early 7-1 lead to start the first half. Oasis never looked back from that point. Despite the beautiful plays from top Asian Valorant player Jayvee “Dubstep” Paguirigan, OAS managed to keep the fancied Team Secret at bay en route to a 13-7 Game 3 shocker.

Team Secret was quick to show might in the first map of the series with Dispenser leading the way with 23 kills on the Killjoy. TS raced to a 7-5 lead in the first half to dictate the tempo on the defenders' side. It then dominated the rest of the way after the switch securing six rounds against Oasis' two to draw the series' first blood.

With the big win, Oasis will be taking on Bren Esports brimming with confidence on Sunday, Feb. 12 while Team Secret will try to bounce back against the same team the day before.
