Tiffany & Co. celebrates the power of arts, words, and love itself, with a collaboration with Curtis Kulig

TRUE BLUE New York-based artist Curtis Kulig

Tiffany & Co. unveiled its 2022 Valentine’s Day campaign, a collaboration with Curtis Kulig, the American artist famous for his signature “Love Me” mantra, a private plea that became part of the urban fabric of New York.

Since 2005, “Love Me” has been recognized as an indispensable piece of popular culture, appearing everywhere from city walls, canvases to neon lights, metal sculptures, and in other high-profile collaborations.

“Love Me" was conceived as something very personal to me and it naturally grew into

something that others interpret—that is what makes it interesting,” says Curtis.

SAY THAT YOU 'Love Me,' part of the exclusive artworks

For the love month, Tiffany tapped on the artist for a creative partnership named “Blue is the Color of Love.” The collaboration marks the latest in the house’s long history of working with innovators and revolutionary artists. It also pays homage to the luxury jewelry brand’s authority in the world of love and commitment.

Curtis created a series of exclusive artworks for Tiffany that declares messages such as, “Dare Me,” “Know Me” and “Kiss Me,” recontextualizing his famous “Love Me” concept in bold Tiffany blue typography. “My creative process with Tiffany & Co. was very natural,” says the New York-based artist.

The artworks are displayed alongside jewelry collections such as Tiffany HardWear, Tiffany Atlas, and Tiffany T.

Last month, the Tiffany Knot collection was launched. The pieces were inspired by chain-link, an architectural symbol taken from the streets of the Big Apple. An interplay of opposites, the design contrasts smooth organic forms with striking jagged angles on bracelets, rings, necklaces, pendants, and earrings. The perfect gift for Valentine’s Day along with the other whimsical collections of engagement rings, HardWear pieces, Tiffany T1 pieces.

The iconic robin’s-egg blue hue established around the world today as Tiffany Blue, synonymous with the luxury house since the iconic Tiffany Blue Box debuted. While there is no definitive answer as to why Charles Lewis Tiffany chose this distinctive color, a theory suggests that it was because of the popularity of turquoise in 19th-century jewelry. Turquoise was a favorite among Victorian brides who gave their attendants a dove-shaped brooch of turquoise as a wedding day memento.

“Blue is the Color of Love” campaign has debuted globally on print and digital platforms, as well as Tiffany.com.

In the Philippines, Tiffany & Co. is open daily and is located at Greenbelt 4, Rustan’s Makati, and Rustan’s Shangri-La.
