A phreatomagmatic burst occurred in Taal’s Main Crater around 4:16 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

In its bulletin issued as of 8:00 p.m., Phivolcs disclosed that the phreatomagmatic burst produced a 300-meter high white plume that drifted southwest of Taal Volcano.
No eruption followed so far, it added.
