Mariel Padilla to Toni Gonzaga: 'Friendship goes beyond politics'

Former actress-TV host Mariel Padilla has rallied behind actress Toni Gonzaga, who was embroiled in a controversy after she hosted the campaign rally of presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and running mate Sara Duterte last Tuesday.
On Toni's post, "stepping down" as host of the reality show "Pinoy Big Brother" after 16 years, Mariel "welcomed" the latter to the outside world.
"I love you toni. You are a friend and a sister FOREVER (heart emoji) welcome to the outside world, toni," she commented.
"Pinoy Big Brother,” more popularly known by its abbreviated title “PBB,” is the Philippine version of the “Big Brother” reality game show franchise. First aired in 2005, Toni, Mariel and Willie Revillame were among the original hosts of the program.
PBB's other "angel," Bianca Gonzalez, has also thrown her support to Toni.
She tagged Mariel's Instagram account along with a crying face and heart emojis.

"Nobody can ever take your place and do it like you @celestinegonzaga, nag-iisa ka. Love you both," Bianca wrote.
Mariel then replied, reiterating that their friendship goes beyond work, religion, politics.
"Beyond it all," she pointed out. "Go make us proud B! You got this! (thumbs uP sign emoji) we believe in you!"
Recall that Toni endorsed her job as host of the show to Bianca.
The ”PBB” management said it respects the decision of Toni.
Toni stepped down as PBB host just one day after she hosted the proclamation rally.
