Actress-dancer and former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Dawn Chang were among those who reacted to the stint of TV host Toni Gonzaga who hosted the proclamation rally of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and running mate Sara Duterte at the Philippine Arena last Tuesday.

On Facebook, Dawn wrote: "It’s my greatest honor to verbalize what other people cannot say: I am deeply insulted and disappointed by the actions of my fellow kapamilya actress Ms. Toni Gonzaga."

"Paano nyo po nasikmurang suportahan at tulungan ang mga taong may malupit na nakaraan sa kasaysayan ng bansa at sa pagkawala ng trabaho ng mga kasama natin sa industriya?," she added. "As a former PBB housemate, alam kong magtatampo nyan si Kuya."

Dawn, 33, said she cannot remain quiet.

"Alam ng lahat ng artista na mas 'safe' ang manahimik na lamang. Pero hindi ko po kaya. Hindi pwede. It is my privilege to lend my small voice in this battle for the soul of our country," she said.

"Kaya sa aking mga kapwa Pilipino, kay Leni Gerona Robredo po ang suporta ko. Hindi po ako binayaran dito. If this is my biggest fight, then I will forever cherish standing up to what I believe in. Hindi po pera pera. Heto po ay laban ng prinsipyo. I want for all of us to say 'Hello' to a better Philippines. Today, and always, I pray for everyone's guidance. May He send us His true guardian angels."

Dawn pledged to forever fight the "good fight" with all of her "true" Kapamilyas and the Filipino people.

Some netizens also expressed “disappointment” over Toni's appearance at the BBM-Sara campaign rally, among them were ABS-CBN executives, including Ethel Manaloto-Espiritu, who actually called out the 38-year-old singer-actress on it.

“Oh, my. Nakakalungkot, Tin (pleading face emoji),” she wrote on Twitter, along with the post that read: “After playing Bagong Lipunan, Toni Gonzaga shouts: ‘Tapos na, may nanalo na, tapos ang laban. Buhay na buhay ang pagmamahal kay Apo Lakay Ferdinand Marcos.'”

Ethel reiterated she could never look at Toni the same way again.

“Your choices say a lot about you now kahit anong bible quotes pa sabihin mo. You are who you are. And it’s not good,” she added, as she retweeted the news: “Toni Gonzaga, one of ABS-CBN’s biggest celebrities, introduces Rodante Marcoleta who pushed to deny the franchise renewal of the network costing thousands of Kapamilya workers their jobs.”
