Shabu in caldereta, adobo: Man nabbed for drug delivery at Taguig City Jail
A man was arrested by the police for allegedly delivering suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) concealed in food meals to Taguig City Jail.
According to a report by the Southern Police District (SPD), 38 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu were discovered during a search at the Taguig City Jail male dormitory in Camp Bagong Diwa in Lower Bicutan on Jan. 30.

The shabu was concealed in beef caldereta and chicken head adobo dishes allegedly brought by Angelo Quibilan, 23, a resident of Barangay Calzada Tipas in Taguig.
According to Staff Sgt. Rolly Capalungan, Quibilan was allegedly asked by the mother of one of the inmates to deliver food to his son.
The SPD said Quibilan was immediately arrested for possession of suspected shabu weighing 16.4 grams and with an estimated value of P111,520.
Meanwhile, personnel from Taguig Police Sub-station 9, Mobile Patrol Unit (MPU) and Taguig Peace and Order Unit (TPOU) were conducting an anti-criminality operation along Magsaysay Avenue in New Lower Bicutan when they caught Domver Parzan, 34, in possession of suspected shabu.
Confiscated from him was one plastic sachet containing shabu weighing 3.1 grams with a value of P21,080.
Also, Taguig Police Sub-station 4 personnel were conducting a mobile patrol along Kalayaan Street in Barangay Ususan when they spotted suspects Archie Andres, 25, and Cedrick Barquilla, 31, both residents of Taytay, Rizal, engaging in illegal drug activities.
Recovered from them were two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 0.5 grams with a value of P3,400.
All the suspects are now detained and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). The confiscated drugs were turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
SPD director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg commended the Taguig police for the anti-criminality operations.
