BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, Red Velvet, Seventeen top idol group brand ranking in February

BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, Red Velvet and Seventeen copped the first five places in the brand reputation ranking for K-pop idol groups for February this year.

The Korea Corporate Research Institute analyzed 93 million pieces of big data of K-pop idol groups from Jan. 1 to Feb. 1, an increase by 20.34 percent from 77.28 million in October 2021.

Their brand reputation index was based on consumer participation, media exposure, communication and community indices and it aims to find out that consumers’ online habits have a great influence on brand consumption.

BTS took first place with a brand reputation index score of 10.64 million, up by 53.63 percent from 6.92 million in October 2021.

BLACKPINK rose to second place with a brand reputation index of 7.99 million, up by 83.68 percent from their third-place score of 4.35 million last October.

TWICE placed third with 3.56 million, an increase by 45.44 percent from their sixth-place score of 2.45 million in October.

Red Velvet bagged fourth place with a score of 3.1 million, up by 124.05 percent from their 14th place score of 1.38 million.

Seventeen grabbed fifth place, getting a brand reputation index score of 3 million, up by 14.41 percent from 2.62 million, and maintaining their ranking.

Placing sixth to 10th are 2PM, Wanna One, Aespa, NCT and Oh My Girl.
