Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte on Monday, Jan. 31, issued the guidelines that will be implemented while the city is under the Alert level 2 quarantine status from Feb.1 to 15.
Under the latest guidelines, Ordinance No. SP-2301 S.2014 that sets the disciplinary hours for minors from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. will remain in effect.
Non-fully vaccinated adults are allowed to go outside their homes only for essential purposes while those fully vaccinated (adults and minors) can enter establishments regardless of vaccination status and reasons.
Restaurants, food and personal services establishments (e.g salons, barbershops) can accommodate up to 70 percent of their capacity for fully vaccinated individuals.
Belmonte said that these establishments can accommodate 90 percent of their capacity if all the employees are fully vaccinated.
She said 70 percent indoor capacity is allowed in religious gatherings for the fully vaccinated regardless of age, and 90 percent capacity outdoors.
Meanwhile, the mayor discouraged holding of gatherings with no specific purposes, including in residences with attendees who do not belong to the same household.
Belmonte reminded on Tuesday, Feb. 1, the business establishments in the city to continue enforcing the minimum health protocols against the coronavirus disease.
“Maaaring nasa Alert Level 2 na tayo ngunit naririyan pa rin ang Omicron variant ng COVID-19 at nananatili itong banta sa ating lahat. Kaya dapat manatili pa rin tayong mapagbantay at ipagpatuloy ang mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng health protocols (We may be under Alert Level 2 but the COVID-19 Omicron variant is still here and it remains a threat to all of us. We must remain vigilant and continue to strictly implement health protocols),” Belmonte said.
