Parked road equipment carted away in Quezon


TIAONG, Quezon – A compactor parked near the Maharlika Highway was carted away by unidentified men on Thursday morning, Dec. 8, in Barangay Talisay here.

The road equipment was owned by I.A. Bosque Construction Corp.

The Sakai compactor was reported missing at 8:30 a.m. to the police.

Company representative Ericson Dipasupil said the machine was parked in the area since Dec. 1 due to mechanical trouble and was under repair for almost a week.

Investigation showed that the compactor was loaded by the suspects in a white Elf boom truck and sped off towards the direction of San Pablo City, Laguna.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.

A compactor is a machine that applies downward pressure on dirt, soil, or gravel to compress the ground and fill in air pockets.
