GMA Network teases homecoming of showbiz icon

Is Boy Abunda returning to GMA?

This is the question of netizens after the broadcast network teased about the newest addition to their family of talents.

"ABANGAN. A SHOWBIZ ICON'S HOMECOMING," read the card read.

"Handa na BA ang lahat para sa HOMECOMING ng isang SHOWBIZ Icon? Abangan ang kanyang pagbabalik sa GMA coming soon!," it added in the caption.

Online users noticed how GMA seemingly emphasized "BA," which coincidentally is an abbreviation of Boy's name.

Also adding fuel to the fire is the fact that Boy was a former GMA artist.

Boy was one of the original hosts of "Startalk" shown in the Kapuso network in 1995.

A few months ago, the King of Talk confirmed that he will definitely be back on television before the end of 2022.

That time, he admitted that he has been in serious negotiations with GMA-7 and other networks, but ruled out the Villar Group’s Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS).

Boy reiterated that his talks with GMA-7 have the blessings of his former network, ABS-CBN.
