LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- Thirty two individuals wanted by the law were arrested during the manhunt operations in Cordillera from Nov. 27 to Dec. 3.
Based on the records of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) for the week, Baguio City Police Office has made the most number of arrests with 16, followed by Benguet PPO with nine arrests, Mountain Province PPO with three arrests, Kalinga PPO with two arrests and Abra and Ifugao PPO one each.
During that weeklong manhunt operations, four most wanted persons were arrested, including one at the provincial level and three at the city level.
Meanwhile, as the result of the intensified police presence and campaign against criminality during the same period, 57 municipalities in the Cordillera Region and one police station of the Baguio City Police Office recorded zero crime incidents.
In Abra, 23 out of 27 municipalities, and nine out of 11 municipalities in Ifugao recorded zero crime incidents.
There was good news too from Benguet where seven of their municipalities recorded zero crime incidents and so with Kalinga where zero crime incidents were recorded in its six municipalities.
Two municipalities in Apayao also recorded zero crime incidents.
Kennon Road Police Station (PS8) recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio City.
