PartsPro Racing's Inigo Anton, Brian Poe-Llamanzares dominate SEAOIL tourney

Champion driver Inigo Anton and emerging racer Brian Poe-Llamanzares took the spotlight after a double podium finish at the recently concluded 2022 SEAOIL Radical Challenge.
Radical SR1 Cup debuted at Clark International Speedway (CIS) from Aug. 26-28. The second event was held at Batangas Racing Circuit from Sept. 23-25, while the final rounds were held again at CIS from Oct.28-30.
Typhoon Paeng's severe weather made the season's last race extremely tricky, with races being held in the rain the whole weekend. The final two days were jam-packed with activities, including practice, qualifying, and three races.
Despite the circumstances, Team PartsPro emerged as the Constructors Cup Champion. The racing prodigy Anton led the championship in points, along with Poe-Llamanzares who also returned and added significant points to the team after missing out on Round 2 in BRC.
In the end, Anton and Poe-Llamanzares finished the season in first and third place, respectively.
In a statement, Anton acknowledged Poe-Llamanzares' efforts in his participation in the Radical SR1 Cup.
"Ever since I became his teammate three months ago, it's just always been progress, especially with Brian. For Brian to jump into the Radical Series is such an incredible feat on its own. Not only that, he kept on pushing, and he's already almost there. He's not afraid of the rain," Anton said.
"Thank you to everyone who has watched us here on the Radical Cup. It has been such an amazing season," he added.
The manager of Team PartsPro, Billy Billano, also spoke highly of Poe-Llamanzares' potential and said he has a long career ahead of him as a race car driver.
"I know that he is very serious in racing, and so are we. We don't play games when we race. We are a professional race team. Being part of PartsPro Racing is a big help for Brian lalo na that he is starting," he said.
"The third leg was quite hard because of the storm. I dared him to go all out. Because at the end of the day, we can repair it. But the experience of closing the season on a high wherein from the very beginning, ups and downs, halos lahat ng checklist ng isang race driver unti-unti niya nang natick-off ."
“With the last round, he took off, took it easy because we wanted to finish the race, and then he felt challenged. And when he felt challenged, the whole garage was going crazy because he took on the challenge and he raced his heart out," he added.
Tyson Sy, the team's coach and driver during the second race weekend, is now thinking ahead to next year's competition and planning to spend more time practicing with Poe-Llamanzares.
"We will put more practices, set up the car more for him para maging maayos," he said.
"I look forward to meeting new and old friends and to share my knowledge in racing. To all the fans, please support not only the Radical race but all the motorsports in the Philippines."
