Winners of the 1st Mayor Ruffy Biazon Swim Cup 2022 announced

The 1st Mayor Ruffy Biazon Swim Cup 2022 was held on Dec. 3 at the Muntinlupa Aquatic Center, the Philippines’ first indoor Olympic-size swimming pool.

More than 400 swimmers all over the country competed in the Swim Cup held as part of the celebration of the 105th Muntinlupa Founding Anniversary and led by the Muntinlupa Youth Affairs and Sports Development Office (YASDO) and Swim League Philippines (SLP).

Biazon graced the competition along with Rep. Jaime Fresnedi, Mayor Temy Simundac and Councilors Jedi Presnedi, Alexson Diaz, Paty Katy Boncayao-Barreto and Luvi Constantino.

“I would like to congratulate the City of Muntinlupa, for this amazing facility na first time in Metro Manila that we have this kind of facility, and the hardworking people behind this world-class facility. And I hope na it will really help the grassroots swimming program in our country to help boost the grassroot development of our swimmers and athletes,” said SLP Chairperson Joan Melissa Mojdeh after the competition.

Also gracing the Swim Cup were SLP President Mr. Fred Ancheta, Solid Coaches Association of the Philippines President Ronald Nicdao, and Central Northern Luzon-CAR Swimming Coaches Association President Biboy Asturias.

Guests also included Chloe Isleta (gold medalist, Southeast Asian Games 2022, Vietnam); Micaela Mojdeh (second Filipina to reach the semi-finals at the FINA World Juniors Championships 2022, Peru); and Elgan Ciel Reyes (representative from the Philippine Autism Society).

“Congratulations to all the participants and winners,” said Biazon.
