NAIA Pass control chief tapped as MIAA Administration Dept-OIC

Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Cesar M. Chiong has designated ID and Pass Control Division Manager Edelyn P. Solano as Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Administrative Department.

In an Office Order issued Nov. 17, 2022, Chiong also tapped Irene L. Cano, erstwhile Head Supervisor of the ID and Pass Control Division, as Officer-in-Charge of the same division.

According to MIAA Public Affairs Department Officer-in-Charge Maria Consuelo I. Bungag, Solano was designated to replace the erstwhile head of the Administrative Department, who had retired on Nov. 16, 2022.

She noted that Solano was a “qualified replacement as Officer-in-Charge, Administrative Department, following the qualification standards of the said position that she has been tasked to assume”.

Bungag also underscored that the “reassignment of personnel in government organizations is encouraged by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), and is being done by the MIAA as it deems fit in the exigency of the service”.
