Gunmen on motorbike shoot taxi driver to death in Malabon


A taxi driver was shot to death by two motorcycle-riding men in Barangay Tinajeros, Malabon City early Monday morning, Dec. 5.

Col. Amante Daro, Malabon City Police Station chief, identified the victim as Teudulo Remolano Jr., 55, of Barangay Catmon, Malabon City.

Initial investigation showed that the victim was sitting in front of a store and talking to a sidewalk vendor at the corner of Gov. Pascual Ave. and MH Del Pilar St. in Brgy. Tinajeros at around 1:45 a.m. when two suspects riding a motorcycle approached him from behind and suddenly shot him in the head multiple times.

The victim died on the spot.

The suspects, who were both clad in black jackets, fled toward Barangay Catmon.

Responding police officers recovered at the crime scene two fired cartridge cases and two deformed bullets from a .45-caliber pistol.

Daro said they already have a lead on the identities and location of the suspects.

The incident is still under investigation.
