Billboard Year-End 2022: BTS in top 5 concerts; earns $75 M from 11 shows in US, Korea

Grammy nominee BTS earned $75.5 million from their concerts in Las Vegas, Seoul and Los Angeles to place in the list of top tours and top concerts for 2022.

Billboard released its 2022 Year-End Boxscore Charts showing artists who earned the most and drew the most number of people in concerts from Nov. 1, 2021 to Oct. 31, 2022.

Under Billboard Boxscores Top Tours, with just 11 shows, BTS placed 27th in the top 40, earning $75,489,240 and drawing 458,144 people.

This translated to BTS earning an average of $6.86 million and drawing 41,649 people per show.

The total is based on BTS’ “Permission to Dance on Stage” concert. They held the concert at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Los Angeles on Nov. 27 and 28, and Dec. 1 and 2, 2021.

In Seoul, they held the concert from March 10 to 13 at the Seoul Olympic Stadium, followed by “Permission to Dance on Stage-Las Vegas” on April 8, 9, 15 and 16 this year at the Allegiant Stadium.

Under Billboard’s Top Boxscores of 2022, BTS’ Las Vegas and LA concerts placed third and fifth in the top 25 concerts.

BTS’ “Permission to Dance on Stage-Las Vegas” concert at Allegiant Stadium became the No. 3 top concert, grossing $33.9 million in four days from April 8, 9, 15 and 16 with 199,697 people in attendance.

This is equivalent to $8.98 million in gross per concert day and average attendance of 49,924.

BTS’ “Permission to Dance on Stage-LA” held on Nov. 27 and 28, and Dec. 1 and 2, 2021, placed fifth.

It posted a gross of $33,316,345 and attended by 213,751 fans, or an average of $8.33 million in gross per day and 53,438 people in attendance per day.
