Couple yields P176,000 worth of shabu in Bacolod buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY -- A couple was busted after 26 grams of shabu worth P176,800 were seized from them during a buy-bust at Purok Malipayon, Barangay 35 here on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Police identified the subject as Jake Jimenez, 41, while his live-in partner was identified as Eliza Mae Dejole, 24, both of Barangay 35.

Lt. Joven Mogato, head of City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said that Jimenez and Dejole are street level individuals.

Mogato said that Jimenez had been arrested for illegal possession of dangerous drugs in 2015.

He was released from the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City six years later after serving his sentence, while Dejole is a first time drug offender, Mogato said.

Mogato said the illegal drugs might have been sourced out outside Western Visayas.
