Nigerian yields P5-M illegal drugs in Las Piñas buy-bust

Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) seized more than P5 million worth of illegal drugs from a Nigerian believed to be a member of the West African international drug syndicate during a buy-bust in Las Piñas City on Thursday, Dec. 29.

The suspect, identified as Nnameka Nwoke, alias “Eggy”, 36, was nabbed at around 8:30 p.m. at Block 16 Lot 33, San Dionisio St., Metrocor Homes B, Talon V, Las Piñas.

According the police report, members of the NCRPO coordinated with the Las Piñas City Police to conduct a buy-bust operation to arrest Nwoke.

Police recovered from the suspect one knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing 632 pieces of blue skull-shaped tablets suspected to be “ecstasy” amounting to P 1,074400; two transparent plastic bags containing 195 grams of shabu with a market value of P1,326,000, about 820 grams of ecstasy powder worth P 1,234,500, and 337.5 grams cocaine worth P1,788, 750.

Police said the confiscated illegal drugs have an estimated total value of P5,423,650.

The illegal drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District Crime Laboratory for proper documentation.

The suspect is now detained at the SPD custodial facility and was charged with possession of illegal drugs.
