The birth of a new Korean star couple.
Korean actor Lee Jong-suk, 33, and singer IU, 29, have confirmed that they are in a romantic relationship.
On Dec. 31, Korean media outlet Dispatch published an exclusive report of the two in Japan.
After the report was published, the two stars have confirmed their relationship.
"IU and Lee Jong-suk have recently developed into a good meeting between close colleagues,” said EDAM Entertainment, IU’s agency.
High Zium Studio, Lee Jong-suk’s agency, also confirmed the relationship.
“Actor Lee Jong-suk has developed a relationship with IU from close colleagues to lovers recently, and they are continuing their serious relationship.” the agency said.
Lee Jong-suk won the grand prize at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards on Dec. 30.
High Zium Studio is also the agency of Song Joong-ki, who has admitted being in a relationship with a British woman, reported to be Katy Louise Saunders.
