2 hurt in bus-truck collision in Nueva Ecija

A man and his wife were injured in a collision between a provincial passenger bus and a trailer truck in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija on New Year’s Eve.

The Department of Public Works and Highways has advised motorists to expect slow traffic as one lane is only passable on Daang Maharlika in Barangay Puncan as a result of the accident that occurred at 12:30 a.m.

The two vehicles were moved to the side of the road but due to the bus that occupied a portion of the road, a single lane alternating traffic is now being implemented in the area.

The DPWH said the couple’s children were unharmed. Their parents were taken to a hospital.

Maintenance crews are helping manage traffic in the area while awaiting representatives from the Florida Bus company to arrive and tow the bus away.

No information was provided on the condition of the bus crew and passengers.
