Two men yielded a total of P3,400,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Quezon City Police District (QCPDO) in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, in the city on Thursday, Dec. 29.
Lt. Col. Jerry Castillo, QCPD Novaliches Station 9 (PS 4) commander, identified the suspects as Bryan Serasipi Perez, 43, a delivery rider from Sangangdaan, Quezon City; and Elvis Leyson Alamin, 43, from Barangay Pasolo, Valenzuela City.
Operatives from the QCPD PS 4 Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SEU) launched the buy-bust operation against the suspects at the parking lot of Bistek Village 29, Placida St., Brgy. Gulod at around 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday after they received a tip from an informant.
The operation was held in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency - National Capital Region.
Police seized more or less 500 grams of alleged shabu valued at P3,400,000, a Chinese tea pack, a bag, and two cellphones.
Nine other drug suspects were nabbed by members of other QCPD stations in a series of buy-bust operations on Thursday, and Friday, Dec. 30. Confiscated from them were around P111,500 worth of shabu.
QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III commended his men for their aggressive anti-criminality operations and urged city residents to report to the police if they notice anything suspicious in their communities.
