Korean actor Gang Dong-won, 41, who starred in the movie “Broker” with Song Kang-ho and IU, has joined other talents in leaving agency YG Entertainment.
“YG Entertainment and actor Gang Dong-won decided to end their management work after discussion,” YG Entertainment announced on Dec. 30.
It added, “We would like to express our sincere gratitude and support to actor Gang Dong-won who has been with me for a long time. Thank you to the fans who loved actor Gang Dong-won, and we ask for your continued interest and support.”
Korean media reported that Gang Dong-won had been with YG Entertainment since 2016. The contract was renewed twice.
Gang Dong-won is the latest talent to leave YG Entertainment.
It was announced on Dec. 26 and 27 that Big Bang members Taeyang and Daesung have left YG Entertainment. T.O.P left in February.
iKON left YG Entertainment, according to an announcement from the agency on Dec. 30.
