Authorities nab 3 top drug suspects in Cagayan search warrant operation

Anti-narcotics authorities arrested three high value targets (HVT) on Thursday, Dec. 29, after they allegedly yielded P1.4 million worth of shabu and marijuana valued at P10,000 in a search warrant operation in Cagayan province.

The operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the local police resulted in the arrest of Rolando Uri Cruz, 52; Mila Malana, 50; and Michael Uri, 37 in Barangay Mauri, Aparri.
Reports disclosed that the search warrant with seizure order dated Dec. 28, 2022 was issued by the Regional trial Court in Aparri, Cagayan against the suspects for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002’’ and RA 10591 or the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.’’
Authorities confiscated 60 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 208 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or "shabu," one transparent plastic sachet with 90 grams of dried marijuana leaves, one .38 caliber revolver with two bullets, and various illegal drug paraphernalia.
The suspects were taken to the Aparri Police Station after the local barangay officials and Department of Justice (DOJ) representatives witnessed the marking and inventory of the confiscated contraband.
