Whoever knew that Camarines Sur 2nd district Rep. LRay Villafuerte can sink three-point shots like Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors?
Villafuerte shared on Facebook Friday, Dec. 2 a short video of him playing a pickup game of basketball with friends.
The clip featured the final play of the game, and the veteran solon just so happened to get a kickout pass with hardly any time left on the clock. His team was down by one point.
After an impressive ball fake that sent a defender careening in the air, Villafuerte threw up the leather and swished it. The celebration that followed on the court was akin to a person winning the lottery.
The lawmakers himself admitted in the Facebook post that he only got lucky ("tsamba") with the shot. Still, it was a special moment for the National Unity Party (NUP) president.
The video has over 6,300 reactions as of this posting.
Villafuerte is a former deputy speaker during the previous 18th Congress. He is currently the majority leader of the powerful Commission on Appointments (CA).
