Ateneo rookie Kai Ballungay had a championship and a bride to take home this year.
The 21-year-old, who clinched his first UAAP championship title with Ateneo less than two weeks ago, just tied the knot with Bella Dahl in California last Dec. 26.
Ballungay went back to the US for the holidays following a successful debut with the Blue Eagles.
The 6-foot-7 forward shared some of the photos of his wedding day on his Instagram stories a few days ago with some family and close friends in a joint celebration for his two rings to cap the year.
“hat’s 2 rings in ‘22 ???,” he wrote in a tweet.
Ballungay was one of the key players in Ateneo’s redemption run in Season 85 after his huge showing in Game 2 of the best-of-three finals series.
With a long offseason on his hands, the champion would get the much-needed personal time before going back to the hard court and defending the title with Ateneo next season.
