A suspected member of a drug syndicate who yielded shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) was arrested by the police in Taguig City on Dec. 28.
Personnel from the Taguig police’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and Substation 6 conducted “Oplan Galugad” along Manggahan Street in Barangay South Signal.

The operation was conducted after the police received a phone call about a group of individuals allegedly engaged in illegal gambling activity.
This led to the arrest of four persons. They were identified as Sukyaman Dimapuro, 48; Rio Ariano, 48; Marissa Bautista, 41; and Ryan Tengedan, 40.
According to the Taguig police, Tengedan is an alleged member of the Loloy Drug Syndicate Group.
The police seized three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 16.2 grams valued at P110,160, .45-caliber gun with three pieces of ammunition, one empty magazine of .45-caliber, a set of playing cards, and bet money amounting to P400.
The suspects are detained at the Taguig City Police Station and will face charges for violations of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), Presidential Decree 1602 (Stiffer Penalties on Illegal Gambling) and Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
